Addis Ababa – In a significant social event tonight, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed hosted an Iftar dinner for second-generation Ethiopians visiting the country, as part of the ‘Back To Your Origins’ campaign.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, this initiative, launched earlier this year, aims to strengthen cultural and familial ties by encouraging those of Ethiopian heritage living abroad to connect with their roots. The Iftar dinner, marking the breaking of the Ramadan fast, served as a platform for these individuals to engage directly with the Prime Minister, fostering a sense of unity and belonging among the Ethiopian diaspora.
