Prevention of Community Conflicts: Tuy Provincial Observatory Unveils Action Plan to PTFs.

HOUNDÉ: The Provincial Observatory for the Prevention and Management of Community Conflicts (OPPREGECC) of Tuy organized an advocacy meeting on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Houndé. The meeting aimed to engage with technical and financial partners to secure the necessary resources for executing its three-year action plan for 2024-2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the action plan is valued at approximately 24 million FCFA. The observatory convened with technical and financial partners to discuss resource mobilization for the plan’s activities. Secretary General of Tuy province, Bassidiki Ouattara, who chaired the meeting, emphasized the importance of presenting the action plan and gathering feedback and contributions from donors for its successful implementation.

Ouattara highlighted that the three-year action plan was formally adopted on July 5, 2024. He expressed appreciation for the financial support from the OKDB (Ouagadougou-Koudougou-Dédougou-Bobo-Dioulasso) project in Tuy, which facilitat
ed the organization of this round table. The meeting brought together about fifteen NGOs, projects, and development programs.

Acknowledgment was also given to the partners attending the meeting, which included the Permanent Secretary of the National Observatory for the Prevention and Management of Community Conflicts (ONAPREGECC), Korotimi Kaboré/Ouangré. The Secretary General encouraged the Tuy provincial observatory and expressed his readiness to support its mission.
