Presidential Initiative “Faso Mªbo”: The 2004 Class of National Armed Forces Offers 10 Tons of Cement

Bobo-Dioulasso: The Association of the Class of 2004 Contingent of the National Armed Forces presented a donation of ten tons of cement in Bobo-Dioulasso as part of the presidential initiative “Faso Mªbo”, launched by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. The donation ceremony, held under the theme of unity and solidarity, was attended by association members, including Staff Sergeant Saabane Ou©draogo, president of the association, and Captain Soumala Sawadogo, regional director of military engineering. The event was sponsored by the commander of the 2nd military region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the sponsor’s representative, Captain Soumala Sawadogo, praised the commitment of the 2004 class and encouraged other contingents to emulate this example to support the nationwide paving efforts. The president of the association, Staff Sergeant Saabane Ou©draogo, emphasized that the association has been officially recognized by the military hierarchy for nearly three years. Its mission is to foster solidarity among members, support the families of fallen soldiers, and contribute to development initiatives.

In response to the President of Faso’s call through the “Faso Mªbo” initiative, the association organized an internal fundraising campaign, collecting contributions both in kind and in cash. The donation of ten tons of cement is seen as the beginning of a long-term commitment by the association, as stated by President Ou©draogo. He expressed gratitude to all members for their support and patriotic dedication.

The 2004 class hopes that their contribution will serve as an inspiration for other generations to participate in the development of the country’s infrastructure.
