He highlighted that this funding is intended to improve worker morale and stabilize operations. Additionally, Nzoia farmers are set to receive the final 20% of their Sh54 million dues starting Monday, ensuring they are fully compensated for their produce.
Further developments include plans to restore Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) tractors to aid in maintaining the agricultural estate at Nzoia, aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and efficiency. The President also confirmed the release of Sh61 million from the Treasury to continue the development of the Industrial Park in Sang’alo, Kabuchai constituency, which is expected to become a center for industrial activities and job creation.
A significant infrastructure enhancement, a Sh27 billion rural electrification program, was also unveiled. This program aims to connect 600,000 residents, including those in Bungoma, to the national power grid over the next two years, which is poised to drive economic growth and improve regional connectivity.
