Sissili: The president of the Silly Special Delegation (PDS), Christophe N. Bonkoungou, extended his New Year's greetings to his constituents, declaring 2026 a year of "collective success." He called upon all stakeholders to unite and develop the economic potential of the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Silly department is thus beginning 2026 with a clear roadmap focused on peacebuilding and local development. In his New Year's message, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), Christophe N. Bonkoungou, immediately presented a positive assessment of the past year.
He noted that 2025 was marked by "enormous challenges," but above all by "remarkable efforts in terms of resilience and collective victories." He paid tribute to the armed forces, workers, technical and financial partners, and the local population for their contribution to maintaining social cohesion and security.
For 2026, the administrative authority intends to emphasize the promotion of good governance and the development of local resources. "It calls on us to further strengthen peace, security, and solidarity, while continuing efforts to enhance our economic, social, and cultural potential," he stated.
Faced with security and social challenges, Christophe N. Bonkoungou urged his constituents to remain vigilant and to show unwavering commitment to the administrative authorities, while respecting the laws of the Republic.
The PDS concluded his message by expressing his hope that 2026 would be a year of stability and peace for the entire department, before recalling the national motto: "Homeland or Death, we will prevail!"
