President of Parliament Wishes Peace and Cohesion for Burkina Faso in 2024


Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – Dr. Ousmane Bougouma, the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, conveyed his hopes for a peaceful and harmonious 2024 for the Burkinabè in his New Year’s greetings.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Bougouma reflected on the year 2023, acknowledging the diverse range of emotions experienced, including despair and hope. He expressed his thoughts for the missing, the injured, and their families, representing the national sentiment.



Dr. Bougouma offered unwavering support and gratitude to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), noting their significant progress in reconquering the territory. He expressed optimism that 2024 would see the completion of this effort.



The President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly emphasized the assembly’s commitment to playing its part in this endeavor. He shared his vision for 2024 as a year where the populations of Burkina Faso would experience peace, tranquility, social cohesion, and improved coexistence. Concluding his message, Dr. Bougouma wished everyone a Happy New Year and invoked blessings upon Burkina Faso from God and the ancestors.
