President of Burkina Faso Participates in World Blood Donor Day


KOULOUBA — On Friday morning, President Ibrahim Traore participated in a blood donation event at Koulouba Palace to mark World Blood Donor Day, stressing the importance of such acts to save lives, especially before the malaria season.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the Presidency, the initiative demonstrates the state’s commitment to solidarity and support for those in need during peak malaria season. The President’s involvement is seen as an effort to inspire citizens to contribute to national health initiatives. Jean Bosco Zoundi, the national president of the ‘SOS sang’ association, praised the President’s example, highlighting the significance of his participation during a crucial time for health needs. Dr. Désiré Nezien from the National Blood Transfusion Center noted that the collected blood bags will significantly aid the center’s operations.
