The visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco “is not on the agenda and is not scheduled,” said an official Moroccan government source.

In an interview with a news channel, the head of French diplomacy, Catherine Colonna, announced the scheduling of a visit by President Macron to Morocco, at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The same official government source is surprised that “Madame Colonna took this unilateral initiative and gave herself the freedom to make an unconcerted announcement concerning an important bilateral deadline”.
