President Ibrahim Traoré Advocates for Cultural Reflection on Burkina Faso’s Customs and Traditions Day


Ouagadougou – President Ibrahim Traoré emphasized the importance of reflection and cultural understanding in his message to the nation on May 15, designated as Customs and Traditions Day in Burkina Faso. The statement was part of the celebrations marking the Burkinabè Heritage Month.



According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traoré’s remarks highlighted the need for the Burkinabè people to engage in deep introspection to unearth and embrace the values of solidarity, peace, tolerance, rigor, and combativeness from their cultural roots. In his message, shared on his X account, the President noted that understanding these values is crucial for facing current and future challenges. He also encouraged both citizens and friends of Burkina Faso to frequent cultural and historical sites to deepen their appreciation of the nation’s heritage. President Traoré’s visit to the National Museum was cited as symbolically significant, reflecting the search for identity and sovereignty.
