Ouagadougou: Twelve agents of the Presidency of Faso, due to retire in 2023, received tributes from the nation on Thursday for their 'significant contribution to the proper functioning of the institution.'
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Presidency of Faso awarded certificates of recognition to 12 of its agents who have exercised their retirement rights, during a ceremony held on March 27, 2025, in Ouagadougou. The event was chaired by the Chief of Staff of the President of Faso, Captain C©leste Aderson Medah.
The spokesperson for the former civil servants, Charles Lankoand©, expressed that he and his colleagues felt honored by this recognition from the State and the Presidency of Faso for their work over the years in the Burkinabe administration. He reflected on the dual nature of their roles, describing the job at the Presidency as demanding due to the necessity of strict adherence to laws and procedures, but also fulfilling because it allows one to contribute to national projects.
Mr. Lankoand© highlighted public service as a calling and encouraged young civil servants to dedicate themselves to the nation's welfare. He emphasized the importance of the work ahead and urged the youth to commit fully. Additionally, he assured that retirees would remain available to offer guidance and support to the younger generation.
Captain C©leste Aderson Medah, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Head of State and the nation, acknowledged the retirees' dedication during their service years. He noted their significant achievements in public service and conveyed the nation's appreciation. Furthermore, he encouraged the retirees to continue their mission of educating and supporting the youth to better prepare them for future challenges.
