Kossi: The High Commissioner of the province of Kossi, Noufo Dembel©, officially installed Pousga Pascal Nikiema as the provincial director of Sports and Leisure in Nouna. Nikiema had been serving as the interim director for the past 1 year and 8 months before his confirmation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Nikiema’s appointment was confirmed by the Council of Ministers on May 14, 2025. The installation ceremony, which took place on June 4, 2025, was attended by several prominent figures, including administrative, military, paramilitary, customary, religious authorities, and service heads.

During his speech, the newly confirmed provincial director expressed his gratitude towards the Minister of Youth and Employment for the trust placed in him. He also extended his thanks to the administrative authorities of Kossi province for their support during his interim period.

Emphasizing the weight of his new responsibilities, Nikiema pledged to be attentive and cooperative in tackling the challenges that lie ahead. The High Commissioner of Kossi Province, in his address, congratulated Nikiema and advised him to adhere to regulations while emphasizing the importance of communication and effective management in his role.
