Pouni: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Pouni, Nadine Tiemounou/Badiel, on Wednesday officially handed over a state-of-the-art ambulance to the Tita Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) and computer equipment to the local high schools.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the municipality of Pouni has taken a significant step forward in strengthening its basic social services. Following efforts undertaken by local authorities, under the leadership of PDS Nadine Tiemounou/Badiel, the Tita CSPS now has a brand new ambulance.
The District Medical Officer (DMO) of Tenado officially handed over the vehicle keys to the PDS, who then gave them to the Major of the CSPS of Tita. This equipment, which has been awaited for several years, solves the thorny problem of medical evacuations to reference centers, a major relief for the populations of the area.
For Christophe Kawane, the representative of the elders of Tita, this acquisition is crucial. "The ambulance is a breath of fresh air for our community," he rejoiced, while calling on users to rigorously maintain the equipment.
The education sector was not left out of this allocation. The two secondary schools in the municipality, namely the Tita High School and the Pouni Departmental High School, each received a high-performance printer. The respective headmasters of the two establishments, Betio Cesar Yaro and Mohamed Traore, welcomed an initiative which "relieves the daily operation of the structures and improves the working conditions of administrative staff and students," particularly for the production of teaching materials.
The head of the special delegation emphasized that these investments are part of a comprehensive community development strategy. She urged the beneficiaries to make optimal and responsible use of these resources for the well-being of all the residents of Pouni.
