Port of Luanda Strengthens Regional Integration with New Major Projects

Luanda: A 50 MVA power substation, an innovation and technological development building, as well as a cabotage terminal, were inaugurated on Tuesday at the Port of Luanda, with the aim of strengthening the regional integration of this port infrastructure.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the projects now inaugurated are part of a broader strategy to modernize the national port system, based on the continuous improvement of infrastructure, the incorporation of technological innovation and the creation of conditions to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the Angolan economy.

The electrical substation was designed to ensure energy for port operators and strengthen the reliability of the electrical system supporting port activity.

The innovation and technological development building aims at modernizing processes, providing technical support and functional transformation, focusing on internal innovation capacity and operational support.

The cabotage terminal is expected to strengthen national logistics coordination, promoting greater integration of coastal maritime transport with other modes of transport and creating more efficient solutions for the circulation of goods in the national territory.
