Population of Kelbo Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Cohesion

Bazega: The population reaffirms its commitment to peace and cohesion: The prefect and president of the special delegation of Kelbo, Mr. Fidele Bazemo, presided this Monday over a ceremony to present New Year's greetings in the town hall. An opportunity for citizen mobilization under the banner of resilience, solidarity, and hope for a lasting return to peace.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a large crowd turned out in response to the call from the local authorities. On this occasion, Prefect Bazemo offered wishes for health, prosperity, and peace for the year 2026. He also called for enhanced collaboration between citizens and the administration, in order to tackle the challenges facing the municipality together.

Mr. Bazemo reiterated the State's commitment to remain present, standing, and operational in Kelbo, and expressed hope that internally displaced persons would soon return to their places of origin in dignity and safety. This strong mobilization illustrates the determination of the inhabitants of Kelbo to work towards a future of peace and stability.
