Luanda: Pope Leo XIV stated on Sunday that the Sanctuary of Muxima will have the capacity to welcome all pilgrims, especially young people. The Bishop of Rome was speaking about the works on the sanctuary, located about 130 kilometers from Luanda City, the Angolan capital, which are in an advanced stage. The leader of the Catholic Church traveled to the location on Sunday, where he prayed the rosary and met with young people.
According to Angola Press News Agency, he said that the sanctuary will welcome thousands of faithful, including children and the elderly, who feel protected in the enclosure and intend to learn biblical teachings. For young people, this is a sign for building a better world, reflecting the unity, love, and hope among Christians. In his speech, he specified that vulnerable families and young people need more attention for the community's growth and development.
