Gaoua: On Saturday, staff from the Gaoua town hall donated a ton of cement to the Faso-Mªbo Agency in Gaoua, demonstrating civic engagement and contributing to local development. For the Secretary General of the town hall, Abraham Emmanuel Da, this gesture reflects the willingness of municipal employees to take part in national construction.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Da emphasized that nation-building requires the involvement of all citizens. "Whoever speaks of nation-building speaks of all its sons and daughters. As municipal employees, we cannot remain on the sidelines of this movement," he stated. He praised the commitment and sense of responsibility shown by the staff and hinted at future actions, including in-kind contributions or direct participation in paving work.
Mr. Da urged the population and local structures to become more involved in community initiatives. He emphasized that vast resources are not necessary to contribute and encouraged citizens to join forces to transform their living environment sustainably.
The chairman of the receiving committee, Siaka Ouattara, expressed his gratitude to the donors, praising the act as a testament to solidarity and patriotism. He encouraged the staff to maintain this momentum, particularly in producing paving stones to beautify the city. Staff also participated in paving work on the site.
