Poni: The Secretary General of the Djoro region, Robert Zoungrana, installed this Wednesday, Bepampo Ouoba in his functions as High Commissioner of the Poni province. Appointed by the Council of Ministers on September 4, 2025, Mr. Ouoba previously held the position of Secretary General of the Noubiel province. His predecessor, Lucien Guemguere, in office since August 2022, has been called to the position of Secretary General of the Nando region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the new High Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the senior authorities, in particular the Minister of Territorial Administration, for the trust placed in him. "I am aware that I cannot succeed in this difficult mission without everyone's support," he said, before requesting the support of the province's vital forces to meet the development challenges.

For his part, the Secretary General of the region, Robert Zoungrana, provided advice to the new High Commissioner and reaffirmed his willingness to support him in his new responsibilities.
