The raid was part of an ongoing effort to combat illegal alcohol production and distribution in the region.

According to Kenya News Agency, the operation was led by Nyandarua County Police Commander Omar Arero and County Commissioner Abdilasaak Jaldesa, who acted on a tip-off that led them to the rental house. County Commissioner Jaldesa emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating the manufacture, distribution, and sale of counterfeit alcoholic beverages. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to alcohol sales in their communities. Jaldesa confirmed that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the individual responsible for the operation, who managed to evade capture during the raid.

The seized alcoholic products are suspected to be hazardous for consumption due to their impure packaging and questionable content. Jaldesa issued a warning to those involved in such illegal operations, stating that the government would continue to pursue them relentlessly. He also advised landlords to be cautious about the activities of their tenants, as they could unintentionally facilitate illegal operations and face legal consequences.
