Police Reveal Identity of Man in Grootfontein Alleged Suicide Case.

Grootfontein: The police in the Otjozondjupa Region have revealed the identity of a 30-year-old man who allegedly committed suicide at Grootfontein last Thursday. The Namibian Police Force’s (NamPol) head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, announced that the deceased has been identified as Given Noeb, and his relatives have been informed of his death.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the deceased was allegedly seen consuming alcohol with his girlfriend at their house on the day in question. Senior Inspector Mbeha reported that Noeb expressed distress, stating he had no work, no economical means, and was uncertain about how he would care for his child and girlfriend.

Later that day, at approximately 12:51, Noeb allegedly walked towards Otjiwanda Senior Secondary School. A passerby discovered his body hanging from a tree near the school shortly thereafter. The body was transported to the Grootfontein State Hospital, where Noeb was declared dead on arrival.

uicide note was left behind, and the police currently do not suspect any foul play. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
