Police need assistance in two murder cases

The police are investigating two murders that occurred at Namahadi and Phuthaditjhaba, respectively.

On Wednesday, 6 June 2023, the community members of the Masimomg section of Nahamadi discovered a headless body that was burned beyond recognition inside a donga. The gender of the victim is unknown at this stage. A case of murder is being investigated.

In an unrelated case on the same day Phuthaditjhaba police were called to the Eland River, where the body of an unknown 25-year-old man who was shot, was discovered. The motive behind the murder is unknown. A case of murder is being investigated.

In both cases, we request that the members of the community to assist the police with information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
