Poa/Noessin Friendship Cup: FC Victoire Crowned Under the Banner of Peace and Living Together

Sourou: FC Victoire won the 2nd edition of the Noessin Friendship Cup by dominating FC Sogpelc© 2-0 in the final, on the Noessin field, in the municipality of Poa, during a competition placed under the sign of peace, living together and social cohesion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the match started evenly. But in the end, FC Victoire made the difference thanks to a brace from Judica«l Yam©ogo. Their captain, Abdoul Kader Zongo, attributed their victory to collective discipline and team spirit.

Despite their defeat, FC Sogpelc© captain Amad© Zongo was pleased with the spirit of fair play and camaraderie that characterized the match.

For their victory, FC Victoire took home 100,000 FCFA, the trophy, and sports equipment, while FC Sogpelc© received 75,000 FCFA. The teams finishing 3rd and 4th received 50,000 FCFA and 30,000 FCFA respectively.

Initiated by coach Moussa Nikiema, this cup aims to strengthen social ties between young people, villages, and towns through football, recognized as a factor of unity and community building. The final saw a large turnout from local residents, in the presence of administrative, traditional, and religious authorities, the patron Eliel Yam©ogo, and Naaba Belem Baongo, who came from Ouagadougou.

'Football brings people together regardless of origin or region. This competition is open to all and contributes to consolidating peace and social cohesion,' explained promoter Moussa Nikiema.

The ceremony's patron, Eliel Yam©ogo, praised the initiative as a unifying force for young people. "This tournament brings together young people from villages and towns and strengthens community spirit. I am ready to support the 3rd edition," he stated.

The date is set for the 3rd edition of the Noessin Friendship Cup, with the ambition to further strengthen peace, unity, and youth engagement.
