Pô Traders’ Association Supports Local Defense Volunteers with Food and Fuel Aid

Pô – The Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in Pô received substantial support from the Nahouri Traders Association, Pô section, in the form of food and fuel vouchers, amounting to around 600,000 CFA francs. This aid reflects the community’s involvement in Burkina Faso’s broader war effort against security crises.

According to Burkina Information Agency, The handover ceremony, held on November 13, 2023, in the courtyard of Pô’s town hall, was attended by Francis Yaguibou and Luc Pétrabou, vice-presidents of the municipality’s special delegation. The donation included 20 bags of 50 kg rice, 04 bags of 25 kg rice, 01 bag of 110 kg corn, 04 boxes of pasta, and fuel vouchers worth 100,000 CFA francs.

Aoué Ibrahim Pouabizan, president of the Nahouri Traders Association, stated that the security crisis severely impacts traders and acknowledged the sacrifices made by volunteers who have left their families to defend the community. He urged every citizen, regardless of their profession, to support the forces engaged in operations.

Francis Yaguibou, the 1st vice-president of the special delegation, expressed his gratitude for the donation, noting that it would provide relief to the VDPs in need. He encouraged other associations to join in supporting the fighting forces, emphasizing the importance of solidarity in these challenging times.
