Pô: The army shows its solidarity with the families of the FDS fallen on the front

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel Major Célestin Simporé, led a delegation from the General Staff, on August 6, 2023 to the families of the Defense and Security Forces who fell for the defense of the homeland, objective, support the bereaved families and pay tribute to these fallen heroes

Staying in Pô, as part of the official release of the 22nd class of active student officers from the Georges Namoano military academy, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel Major Célestin Simporé conducted a delegation to the families of the defense and security forces of the commune of Pô who fell at the front.

Addressing the families, Colonel Major Célestin Simporé indicated that the mission was mandated by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore to come and greet the families on behalf of the government, encourage them, salute the memory of the heroes who shed their blood to defend the homeland.

He added that the other brothers in arms will continue the fight until the total liberation of Burkinabe territory.

For this, he asked for prayers and blessings from the parents of the Fighting Forces engaged in the theaters of operations.

According to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, these visits follow those made to Ouagadougou by the Head of State two weeks ago and these visits will continue in order to reach the maximum families of the FDS fallen for the defense of the fatherland.

The representatives of the families visited said they were moved by this show of solidarity and compassion from the government towards them.

“We are comforted by this visit, our children did not shed their blood for nothing. We will get out of this war. We pray daily for the fighting forces. The only thing we have left is blessings and prayers. They are also means of fighting terrorism,” indicated Moumouni Yaguibou.

The representative of the widows of the fallen FDS Amamatou Aminakora, 28, holder of a BAC and a professional diploma from ENEP with two children, the first of whom is 4 years old, for her part, wished for substantial support from the State regardless of the sector of activity in order to allow them to rebuild their lives and meet the needs of their children. The mission visited the families of Sergeant-Chief of Police Aboubacar Yaguibou and Private Fadoul Tietiembou, who died in defense of the homeland.
