Pô Receives 160 Tonnes of Food at Social Price for Disadvantaged Groups

Pô — The AIB reported that at the start of November, the province of Nahouri received a shipment of 160 tonnes of food priced for the socially disadvantaged, in an effort to support the most vulnerable members of the community.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the consignment included 80 tonnes of corn and 80 tonnes of white sorghum. The food, priced at 6,000 FCFA for a 50kg bag, was distributed among the elderly, people living with disabilities, other vulnerable individuals, and internally displaced persons (IDPs). The initiative was met with high demand and calls from beneficiaries for regular supplies due to the urgent need among the populations.
