PO, Burkina Faso—Residents of the commune of Pô in the Nahouri Province came together on Monday, February 12, 2024, for a significant clean-up operation at the Medical Center with Surgical Branch (CMA) of Pô. The event, marked by a strong turnout, aimed at enhancing the health facility's environment, was spearheaded by the area's traditional leader, His Majesty the Pô-Pê, in a joint effort with the Pizono-Zénna Association of Pô.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was a collaborative effort with the local Pizono Zéna association, designed to foster community spirit and improve the CMA's surroundings. Emphasizing the importance of a clean environment for both healthcare workers and patients, the action day saw the deployment of various resources, including tractors, tricycles, wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes, to revitalize the medical center's courtyard.
The clean-up attracted a wide array of participants, including customary and religious leaders, local security forces, women, and youth groups, all uniting to clear garbage and trim trees around the facility. This collective effort highlighted the community's commitment to maintaining a healthy living space and supporting their local healthcare infrastructure.

Dr. Daouda Bamba, the head doctor of the Pô health district, lauded the unprecedented mobilization, noting it as a clear indication of the community's prioritization of hygiene and health. The day concluded with a gesture of goodwill, as organizers distributed soap to patients hospitalized at the CMA, and prayers were offered for the security forces and for peace to return to Burkina Faso.
ORODARA - The High Court of Orodara, under the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Bobo-Dioulasso, commenced its second session for the judicial year 2024 on Monday, February 12.
