PM Abiy Praises 100-Day Cabinet Performance with Significant Sectoral Advancements

ADDIS ABABA: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has commended the Ethiopian government’s efforts during the first quarter of 2017, highlighting significant advancements across multiple sectors. The assessment came during a Council of Ministers meeting focused on reviewing the 100-day cabinet performance, where macroeconomic achievements and key indicators were discussed.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed shared insights from the review on his social media platforms, noting the “remarkable progress” achieved in various sectors. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for continued efforts to sustain this growth trajectory, acknowledging that substantial work remains to be done.

The Prime Minister highlighted the role of institutional and civil service reforms in supporting the country’s growth efforts. He encouraged the public sector to further foster a culture of empowerment to improve results delivery.

Projections for the coming year include an economic growth rate of 8.45 percent. The outcomes of the reforms are described as inclusive and sustainable, contributing to the country’s overall economic growth.
