MOSCOW: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia engaged in discussions with Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS Summit in Russia. The meeting underscored the ongoing diplomatic interactions between Ethiopia and the UAE within the context of a major international event.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy highlighted the significance of the meeting in a post on X, stating, “The BRICS Summit also provided an opportunity to meet and discuss with my brother Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.” The discussions are part of Ethiopia’s broader engagement with international partners at the summit, which brings together leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa to discuss economic cooperation and development initiatives.
