According to Ethiopian News Agency, the plenary session marked an important milestone for Ethiopia, which was invited to join the BRICS group in 2023. Ethiopia’s membership is set to officially commence in January 2024. Prime Minister Abiy’s speech underscored Ethiopia’s dedication to the principles of multilateralism and its aspirations for contributing to global stability and growth within the BRICS framework.
