ADDIS ABABA — Addis Ababa City Mayor Adanech Abiebie, along with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, announced the completion of the Bole Road Corridor development in the city.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, this achievement marks another significant success for the city. “We have built wide asphalt roads for cars, pedestrian walkways and bicycle routes, parking lots, taxi and bus terminals facilities, public parks, green spaces, fountains, public toilets, as well as painting and lighting work in accordance with our city plan,” Adanech said in a social media post this morning. The mayor extended her deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of the project. She particularly thanked building owners who renovated their properties to accommodate pedestrians and adhered to the design guidelines. She also appreciated the efforts of contractors, consultants, and laborers.
The city mayor also expressed her heartfelt respect and gratitude to each member of the community who demonstrated patience despite the temporary transportation challenges caused by the construction works. Adanech urged all residents of the city to take care of and protect the newly built infrastructure, alongside the city security forces.
