Philippine Police Investigate Death of Foreign Tourist in Boracay

Boracay: Philippine police have launched an investigation into the death of a female international tourist whose body was discovered in Boracay, a renowned island resort in the central Philippines.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Police Lieutenant Colonel Mar Joseph Ravelo, the police chief of Malay town, reported that a local villager found the victim's body on Wednesday afternoon in an abandoned chapel on the island. This location is approximately 1 kilometer from the hotel where she was staying.

The tourist was last seen by her friends on Monday afternoon, according to a poster issued for her disappearance. She had arrived on the island on March 1 to attend a friend's wedding. Police are currently working to identify any persons of interest in the case.
