According to Angola Press News Agency, after experiencing a setback in their previous match, Petro de Luanda showcased a more aggressive approach, leaving Nairobi City Thunder struggling with defensive weaknesses and offensive inefficiencies. Despite the Thunder's challenges, their winger Derrick Mekenye emerged as the game's top scorer with 20 points. For Petro, point guard Childe Dundo made a notable impact by contributing 14 points. This victory marks Petro de Luanda's second win in three matches. Their next challenge is against Dar City from Tanzania in the fourth round on Friday. Meanwhile, in the day's other game, the Rwand an Tigers triumphed over the Johannesburg Giants, 102-89, becoming the first team to qualify for the BAL final stage in Kigali, Rwanda.
