TAPOA: As the new year of 2025 begins, the provincial leaders of Tapoa have collectively expressed their hopes for peace, stability, and social cohesion. Amidst ongoing challenges, these wishes underscore a shared desire for unity and healing across the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on December 31, an AIB journalist visited the city pool in Diapaga to observe the end-of-year celebrations, which proceeded despite a notable shortage of foodstuffs. As the community gathered to mark these festivities, their focus remained on the broader hope for peace and stability in the face of Burkina Faso’s ongoing security crisis.

Leading figures in the community, including High Commissioner Ren© Karambiri, religious leaders such as the President of the Muslim community, Pastor Ouali, and representatives from various sectors, including an internally displaced person and a carpenter, voiced their collective prayers for peace. They expressed a desire for the new year to be filled with love and mercy, fostering an environment where social cohesion prevails and where good triumphs over evil.

The High Commissioner emphasized the importance of turning these wishes into actions, urging the community to embody these aspirations throughout 2025. He expressed hope that divine guidance would aid in progressing toward reconciliation and forgiveness among the populace.

Customary and religious authorities in Tapoa called for acceptance of differences and an end to conflicts, aspiring for a revival of love and mutual support within the city. They extended well wishes to national leaders and acknowledged the efforts of the FDS and VDP, who continue to fight valiantly for the nation’s survival.
