Tenkodogo: The town of Sangha resonated with patriotism and solidarity on Tuesday during the national flag-raising ceremony. Administrative authorities, defense and security forces, and the local population mobilized to reaffirm their commitment to unity, civic responsibility, and local development through concrete actions benefiting the new medical center.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by Mamadou Coulibaly, the prefect and president of the special delegation. It was attended by administrative authorities, the Defense and Security Forces, as well as representatives of civil society. This event was a moment of patriotic expression and social cohesion, allowing the head of the special delegation to commend the participants’ mobilization. He indicated that this initiative contributes to strengthening national unity, sovereignty, and civic responsibility through the tribute paid to the flag.

Despite the security situation, Mamadou Coulibaly praised the resilience of the people and invited them to become more involved in the construction and development of the community. In this spirit of solidarity, the citizen watch of Sangha responded to the Governor’s call, made during his visit to the locality, by contributing 905,000 CFA francs to the electrification of the new Medical Centre.

The president of the citizen watch, Lazare Koara, expressed his gratitude to the donors and invited all the sons and daughters of the commune to follow suit in order to support the completion of the Medical Centre.

The day after the ceremony, authorities and residents gathered for a cleanup operation at the site. Equipped with rakes, brooms, and gloves, participants cleaned the grounds and various rooms of the Medical Center. At the end of the activity, the prefect congratulated the participants for their commitment and strong turnout. He urged them to maintain this civic spirit, essential for local development and strengthening social cohesion.
