Patriotic Support Fund: The People of Ouindigui Contribute 1 Million CFA Francs

Ouindigui: The populations of the commune of Ouindigui handed over, on Friday, January 17, 2025, to the president of the special delegation of Ouindigui, Souleymane Gandema, a copy of the payment receipt worth 1 million CFA francs to the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP).

According to Burkina Information Agency, this contribution is part of the ongoing efforts by the local communities to support the national peace initiative.

Gand©ma expressed his appreciation for the people's commitment during this critical period of national territory reconquest. "It is in response to the call of the President of Faso that the populations have decided to contribute to the peace effort. This is not their first gesture. I would like to thank them and invite them to continue in this direction in order to help the fighting forces in their momentum on the ground," indicated the PDS.

The head of the Ouindigui canton, Naaba Sougr© II, emphasized the community's solidarity in the face of past adversities. "Our populations have suffered greatly from the terrorist hydra. It is to help our defense and security forces that the populations have decided to act to help the conquering forces," explained Naaba Sougr© II. He assured that their actions and mobilization efforts will persist for further contributions.

Adding to this sentiment, Mady Komi, a native of Ouindigui, remarked on the struggles faced by the community, highlighting their forced displacement due to the security crisis in Loroum province in 2021. This challenging phase led to a massive exodus from Ouindigui, but recent reconquest efforts have instilled hope among the displaced, who wish to return to their homes.

These reconquest actions are seen as a beacon of hope for the displaced populations, signaling the possibility of returning to their localities and reclaiming their lands.
