Patriotic Outpouring of Support: Significant Donations to the Defense and Security Forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and Families of Fallen Combatants

Bogand©: A surge of patriotism in Gnagna has led to substantial donations to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the families of fallen fighters. This remarkable show of support was highlighted during a ceremony presided over by Mr. Taugolo Par©, the President of the Bogand© Special Delegation (PDS). The event was attended by local authorities, representatives of the armed forces, community leaders, and various donors, all gathered to express their solidarity with those defending the homeland.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Association of Women Committed to Christ (AFEC) initiated the contributions by donating 150,000 CFA francs to the Defense and Security Forces. The residents of Nagar© village followed suit with a donation of 100,000 CFA francs to the 19th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR 19) and the VDP. Additionally, they provided 40 bags of rice, each weighing 25 kilograms, and two 25-liter jerrycans of oil. The gold miners of Ouadangou village made a particularly substantial contribution, donating 75 bags of rice, 15 jerrycans of oil, nine cartons of spaghetti, 50 kilograms of sugar, as well as tea and coffee. They also presented an envelope containing 260,000 CFA francs, which was distributed among the VDP, BIR 19, and the Kolgweogo (National Liberation Army). Recognizing the need to support bereaved families, the donors offered 50,000 CFA francs to the wives of the fallen VDP soldiers.

Mr. Taugolo Par© expressed his profound gratitude to all the donors for their patriotic commitment, praising their gestures as a demonstration of solidarity with the fighting forces. He emphasized that such contributions help strengthen resilience in the face of security challenges. The representative of the BIR 19 commander also expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, highlighting the cohesion between the population and the fighting forces. 'We are pleased. This further demonstrates the cohesion between the population and the fighting forces. If we are there for them, they are also there for us,' he stated, extending sincere thanks to the donors.
