Patriotic Guidance: High Commissioner of Tapoa Emphasizes Adherence to National Contract

Tapoa: The High Commissioner of the province, Rene KARAMBIRI, presided over the closing ceremony of the first phase of the Civic and Patriotic Instructing (ECP) for students in Diapaga. The event, held at Untaani High School, marked the end of a six-week training program designed to instill civic responsibility and patriotism in students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony featured participation from administrative, traditional, and religious authorities, members of the educational community, and a large audience. Over 1,600 students pledged to uphold the values of responsibility, support, and devotion to their nation. The program was aimed at equipping students with skills such as order, discipline, respect for national symbols, and the rejection of incivilities.

Lieutenant Abraham SANOU, coordinator of training officers at BIR 27, highlighted that the training had prepared these students to be ambassadors of civic responsibility. He emphasized their role in respecting school rules, laws of Burkina Faso, and promoting peace and tolerance within their communities. The students were presented as models of civic virtue during the ceremony.

Student representative Florence Segda expressed gratitude to the authorities and instructors for their dedication. She noted that the training transcended traditional education, fostering a deeper understanding of civic and patriotic values like respect for authority, discipline, and a sense of duty.

High Commissioner Rene Karambiri paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their efforts in ensuring the program's success. He reminded the students that their training marked the beginning of their patriotic journey, urging them to apply their knowledge to respect the social contract with the nation.

The ceremony concluded with a close-order drill and a parade by the students, symbolizing the culmination of their training and commitment to their nation.
