Passoré Resident Donates Essential Food Supplies to VDP and IDP

Passoré: A local resident supports the VDP and IDP with food supplies. The economic operator El Hadji Athée Nanema, a native of Passoré living in Ouagadougou, offered on Saturday, January 3, 2026, 40 bags of rice and 20 bags of corn to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) of Passoré. According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was officially handed over during a ceremony held at the Yako High Commission. The event was attended by administrative, customary, and religious authorities, along with a delegation of people from the province who traveled from Ouagadougou to support the initiative. The High Commissioner of Passoré, Daouda Sangaré, received the food supplies on behalf of the highest authorities, the VDP, and the IDP of the province. Present at the ceremony were the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action and the commander of the gendarmerie company of Passoré. Mr. Sangaré expressed gratitude to the donor, highlighting the gesture as a significant act that "strengthens the bond of trust and solidarity between the people and the forces engaged in the defense of the territory." The provincial authority emphasized the importance of this generosity, noting its moral and material support in the current security context. The donor, El Hadji Athée Nanema, expressed his intention to contribute to the national cause through unity and solidarity.
