Passore/CCP: Stakeholders Review Development Actions in the Province

Passore: The Passore Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) convened its first ordinary session on Friday, April 10, 2026, in Yako, under the leadership of Daouda Sangare, the High Commissioner of the province. The meeting, which brought together CCP members and local stakeholders, centered on evaluating and discussing development initiatives within the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, participants exchanged ideas on several key presentations focusing on development actions in Passore. The discussions aimed at aligning efforts and optimizing the impact of various initiatives in the province.

The first presentation was delivered by Valentin Mano, the communications officer of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). He detailed the organization's structure and activities in Passore, which include supporting agricultural producers, constructing and rehabilitating drinking water infrastructure, providing healthcare support, and enhancing the capacity of health workers in the municipalities of Yako, Bagare, and Lato-din.

The second communication came from Sidbewendin Ernest Yampa, the provincial director in charge of Agriculture of Passore. His presentation focused on the dry season in the irrigated perimeter of Dourou, covering a total area of 865 hectares. Mr. Yampa highlighted the campaign launched in November 2025, which involved local actors in the production of maize, wheat, onion, and tomato, while also addressing technical, organizational, environmental, and security challenges. He emphasized the need for regular maintenance of water infrastructure, better access to agricultural equipment, and enhanced support services.

The third presentation, by Mahamoudou Kiogo, the provincial director in charge of preschool, primary, and non-formal education, highlighted educational innovations and reforms. These included the introduction of vocational training in primary schools and the integration of ICT to bolster learners' practical and digital skills.

Daouda Sangare, the High Commissioner of Passore Province, reinforced the role of the CCP as an essential tool for coordinating and monitoring development in the province. He urged members to transform it into a genuine framework for proposals and actions aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of Passore.
