The High Commissioner of the Passoré province, Laurent Kontogom, carried out a tour on Monday, October 2, 2023, of some primary and post-primary and secondary establishments in the commune of Yako. At the end of his visit, Mr. Kontogom said he was satisfied with the presence of educational stakeholders at the start of the 2023-2024 school year. On the occasion of the 2023-2024 school year, the authorities in charge of the Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) and Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DPEPS) of Passoré, headed by the High Commissioner du Passoré, Laurent Kontogom carried out a tour of some schools and high schools in the commune of Yako on Monday October 2, 2023. To this end, the provincial authorities came to ensure the effectiveness of the start of the school year in the northern part of Burkina Faso. The delegation first went to the Yako-Filles school where it found very enthusiastic students and teachers ready to start the new school year. Then, the course was set for the Yako provincial comprehensive high school. It was in this same atmosphere that the authorities found the teaching staff and administrative staff of the said high school. After encouraging the students already installed in the classrooms, the High Commissioner and his delegation spoke with the teaching staff. Students satisfied with the authority's visit to their high school promised to work hard to provide better results at the end of the year. The Provincial Director of Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DPEPS) of Passoré, Halidou Konfé as well as the High Commissioner of Passoré Laurent Kontogom sent messages of encouragement and success in school exams to the students. For this start of the school year, the provincial authorities announced the reopening of other classes closed last year for reasons of insecurity in the localities concerned.
