Passor© Delegation Presents New Year’s Greetings to King Naaba-Djigu¨md© in Yako

Yako: On the occasion of Napoussoum, a customary festival marking the beginning of the new year in the royal court of Yako, the provincial authorities of Passor© presented their New Year's greetings to His Majesty Naaba-Djigu¨md©. Led by the High Commissioner of the province of Passor©, Daouda Sangar©, the delegation composed of provincial directors, heads of service, and military and paramilitary authorities visited the royal palace of Yako to extend their New Year's wishes and seek blessings from the King.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place in an atmosphere of solemnity and traditional fervor, reflecting the provincial authorities' deep respect for cultural values and customary leadership. High Commissioner Daouda Sangar© expressed wishes for health, longevity, prosperity, and peace to the traditional chief of Yako, while also wishing him a successful reign in service to the people.

Mr. Sangar© further conveyed gratitude from the country's highest authorities to His Majesty Naaba-Djigu¨md© for his unwavering commitment to peace, social cohesion, and harmonious coexistence within the province. The provincial authority also sought the support of customary authorities in implementing initiatives for the country's development and stability.

Her Majesty Naaba-Djigu¨md© of Yako expressed her honor and satisfaction with this gesture of respect, offering her gratitude to all the provincial authorities. She emphasized the importance of adhering to cultural and traditional values, viewing them as an essential foundation for a better collective life and a peaceful society.

The ceremony concluded with blessings and prayers for the various communities, residents, and local populations. The guardian of tradition expressed a wish for divine and ancestral guidance for the authorities in fulfilling their missions.
