Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The OVID Group, known for its efficiency in housing projects, is looking to expand its investment into the transport and industry sectors. During a visit to the Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), OVID Group CEO Yonas Tadese discussed the company’s ambitions to contribute further to Ethiopia’s development through diversification.
According to the Ethiopian News Agency, the company, which has established itself as a leader in the construction sector, is exploring modern technologies to speed up and enhance the quality of its projects.
Yonas revealed plans for implementing a cable car transportation system in the capital city and stressed OVID’s commitment to addressing housing challenges for low and middle-income citizens through collaboration with banks and government support. The CEO also shared the completion of a study on a novel construction technology, which promises even more efficiency than current methods used in Ethiopia.
Acknowledging the positive impact of government support, Yonas cited a recently built bread factory in Lemi Kura Sub-city as an example of OVID’s contributions to job creation and societal benefits. The company’s development and adoption of advanced technologies have been bolstered by this support, aligning with OVID’s pledge to undertake projects that benefit Ethiopian society.
ENA CEO Seife Deribe emphasized the importance of collaboration between ENA and OVID to further the country’s development goals. He highlighted ENA’s commitment to professional integrity while acting as a partner in amplifying OVID’s development initiatives to both domestic and international audiences.
