Over N.dollars 50,000 Stolen from Jackpot Machines in Katima Mulilo

Katima mulilo: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Zambezi Region is currently investigating a case of housebreaking and theft after N.dollars 59,000 was reportedly stolen from eight gambling machines in Katima Mulilo.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the incident occurred at the Bush Baby shop on Saturday morning. The suspects allegedly used an unknown object to cut through the roof to gain entry into the shop. They also disabled the alarm system by cutting the cables before damaging the eight jackpot machines and stealing the money contained within them.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and none of the stolen money has been recovered. In a separate incident, a bag containing a laptop and a wallet, valued at N.dollars 15,439, was stolen from a vehicle parked outside the Choppies store in Katima Mulilo on Friday. This case also remains unsolved, with no arrests or recoveries reported.

Police investigations into both incidents are ongoing as authorities work to apprehend those responsible and recover the stolen items.
