Phnom penh: Over 84 percent of high school students in Cambodia have successfully passed the 2025 graduation exam, as announced by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. A total of 122,473 students out of 144,848 candidates achieved passing grades in this essential academic milestone.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the ministry's statement detailed the distribution of grades among the students, with 3,003 students earning Grade A and 9,901 obtaining Grade B. The remaining successful candidates passed with Grades C, D, and E. The Grade 12 students were assessed on a wide range of subjects including earth and environment, geography, history, biology, foreign languages, Khmer literature, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and morality-civics.
The ministry highlighted an improvement in the passing rate compared to the previous year, with the 2025 exam surpassing the 2024 passing rate of 79 percent. This annual graduation exam serves as a crucial requirement for students aspiring to continue their education at the university level.
