Over 104 Million FCFA Raised in Burkina Faso for Peace Efforts in October

Ouagadougou – Burkina Faso’s Commission for the Reception and Management of Donations collected over 104 million FCFA and 2 tons of rice in October 2023, as part of contributions to the country’s peace efforts, as reported by AIB on Saturday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, since its establishment on October 27, 2022, a total of 1 billion 454 million 500 thousand 423 FCFA has been recorded. Of this, 815 million 20 thousand 390 FCFA have been spent, leaving a balance of 639 million 480 thousand 33 FCFA. The commission also received numerous in-kind donations, including 1,759 ALOBA motorcycles, 50 tricycles, 10 pick-ups, and nearly 800 tons of food, contributing significantly to the national peace initiative.
