Over 100 Social Projects to Be Implemented in Uige by 2026

Luanda: At least 135 social projects will be implemented in Uige province by 2026, with a budget estimated at 119 billion kwanzas, the local director of Studies, Planning, and Statistics (GEPE), Eder Augusto Sebastio announced Wednesday. These projects aim to enhance basic services and infrastructure for the local population.

According to Angola Press News Agency, these initiatives include expanding water supply systems, building and rehabilitating rural infrastructure, and installing electricity supply systems. The projects are designed to improve the living conditions of the residents in the province.

Eder Augusto Sebastio indicated that funding for these projects will come from multiple sources. The Poverty Alleviation Program, the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM), Nzila, a line of credit from Spain, and Standard Bank are all contributing to the financing efforts.
