Oudalan: 39 Municipal Employees Set an Example by Paying Their 2026 Residence Taxes

Oudalan: On the occasion of the month of civic tax compliance, the Gorom-Gorom town hall organized a day dedicated to exemplary tax compliance during which 39 municipal agents collectively paid their 2026 residence tax to the Provincial Directorate of Taxes (DPI) of Oudalan. The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Gorom-Gorom, Sibiri Neya, who paid his tax himself alongside his vice-presidents, stressed the need for local authorities to set an example. "The town hall must be the showcase of the municipality and the reference point for the communities," he said.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the town hall, Mohamdou Amadou, stated that this commitment constitutes a patriotic and civic gesture that deserves to be perpetuated within the local administration. He stressed that compliance with tax obligations contributes to strengthening the financial capacity of the municipality.

The municipal agents, for their part, have pledged to renew this initiative every year, in order to make it a lasting tradition and a benchmark of civic responsibility for the entire population.
