Ouagadougou-Rabat Axis: A Renewed Commitment to Maintaining the Dynamism of Cooperation

Ouagadougou: On the sidelines of the first conference on African victims of terrorism, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad, Karamoko Jean Marie Traore, spoke with his counterpart from the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita. During this meeting on December 2nd, the two ministers praised the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between Burkina Faso and the Kingdom of Morocco.

According to Burkina Information Agency, they reaffirmed their willingness to work towards strengthening these relations, with a ministerial meeting planned for next week in the Burkinabe capital. During this meeting, they will sign new agreements within the framework of the 5th Joint Commission for Cooperation between the two countries.

Ministers Karamoko Jean Marie Traore and Nasser Bourita welcomed the convergence of views between the two countries on issues of regional and international interest. They expressed their commitment to making the Ouagadougou-Rabat axis a model of south-south cooperation in accordance with the vision of the President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, and King Mohammed VI.

While congratulating the Kingdom of Morocco for organizing the first conference dedicated to African victims of terrorism, the Burkinabe Foreign Minister praised all royal initiatives aimed at the emergence of the African continent. He indicated that Burkina Faso is committed to operationalizing the Royal Initiative for access to the Atlantic Ocean for Sahel countries.
