Ouagadougou-On the occasion of the Assumption Day celebrations on August 15, a high-level delegation from the Burkinabe government, led by Minister of State, Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection, Bassolma Bazié, conveyed a message of national unity to the Catholic community in Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation, also including the Secretary General of the Government and the Council of Ministers, Mathias Traoré, visited the Saint Augustin parish in Bissighin, where they participated in the mass conducted by Father Bernard Eude Compaoré. The visit underscores the government’s commitment to fostering national cohesion amid challenges, with a focus on unity as a pivotal force for overcoming adversities and advancing development in Burkina Faso. In his address, Father Compaoré expressed the Catholic Church’s solidarity with national efforts against terrorism and assured continued support for peace initiatives.
