Ouagadougou Hosts 96-Hour Learning Event for ISTIC Trainees

Ouagadougou – The Institute of Information Sciences and Technologies (ISTIC) in Burkina Faso has launched a 96-hour program designed to offer its trainees a unique educational experience, according to intern delegate Rufin Paré, who spoke at the event’s commencement on Thursday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the four-day event represents a significant deviation from the standard curriculum, providing a pause after eight months of regular courses to engage in alternative learning methods. The program includes a range of activities that blend recreation, cultural exposure, and experiential learning, such as panels, a shopping street, participation in the ‘false start of Mogho Naaba,’ and a visit to the army museum.

Doctor Alizèta Ouoba/Compaoré, the general director of ISTIC, highlighted that these socio-cultural activities are integral to the trainees’ educational development. She praised the efforts of the interns’ office in organizing the event and encouraged all students to actively participate in the diverse offerings designed to enhance their understanding and appreciation of Burkinabè culture.
