Ouagadougou Announces Six-Month, 1.9 Billion FCFA Plan to Rehabilitate Sankar-Yaaré Market

Ouagadougou—The Sankar-Yaaré market, which was largely consumed by a fire earlier this year, will be rehabilitated at a cost of 1.9 billion FCFA within a six-month timeframe, announced Serge Poda, the minister in charge of commerce.

According to Burkina Informational Agency, the substantial rehabilitation plan aims to restore the market that suffered significant damage due to a violent fire at the beginning of the year. The work will be undertaken with an allocated budget of nearly 1.9 billion FCFA and is expected to be completed within six months.
